Hi! I'm Angélica.
I'm an Associate professor at Espíritu Santo University-UEES (Ecuador). I am also visiting scholar at Rosario University (Colombia) and Autonomous University of Madrid - UAM (Spain). I have a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration (2014) from the Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain) where I obtained the highest grade of outstanding CUM LAUDE and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award.
I have worked in companies, both for-profit and non-profit, in Ecuador, Japan, and Spain. I have several articles indexed in internationally recognized journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Management Decision, Scientometrics, the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, among others.
In addition, I have presented my work at the most prestigious conferences such as the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, European Academy of Management, Iberoamerican Academy of Management, among others.
I am a founding member of two NGOs dedicated to empowering women www.famufar.org and promoting quality research related to SDGs www.eqlab.org. I have been involved in real-estate and foreign trade businesses. For my contribution to business education and research, I was awarded the "Best 40 Under 40" by the American Organization Poets & Quants. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding professor-researchers under 40 years of age in MBA programs globally. I am the first professor from a Latin American university to receive this honor. This year, the award-winning teachers hail from 19 U.S. schools and 14 schools abroad. The final standings feature 18 women.
